Forum backlink checker

Paste the links from a delivery report. For every one it opens the page and tells you whether it is live, whether your link is on it, which anchor and which rel it carries, and whether robots.txt or noindex keeps Google from reading it.

Links to check
Paste straight from a spreadsheet: forum URL, your URL, anchor. An empty "your URL" takes the one above it. Up to 50 rows.
What it checks
  • The page opens (status code) and where redirects end up.
  • A link to your target is in the served HTML, how many, and the anchor text.
  • The link type from its rel attribute: dofollow, nofollow, ugc or sponsored. A nofollow on the whole page counts too.
  • Whether the site's robots.txt blocks Googlebot from the page, with the rule that does it.
  • Whether the page is noindex, in a meta tag or the X-Robots-Tag header.
What it cannot do
  • Check indexation. Whether Google has the page is not something a tool can read reliably, so open the URL in a search and see.
  • Judge quality: DR, traffic, and whether the thread is real still need your eyes. The guide to that is here.
  • See links a page builds in the browser with JavaScript, or pages that block bots. Those are marked "not checked", never "dead".

Nothing you enter is stored. Each page is fetched once from our server, read, and forgotten.

Links failing?

Send the failing rows to whoever sold them. If they were mine, the replacement window covers exactly this.
