What adult link building costs: guest posts vs volume
Adult link prices, checked 25 Sept 2026: Web20Ranker links run $49.95-$73.80 each, retainers $1,000-$3,000/mo. My volume links stay $2-$3, no surcharge.
Almost every adult link price you can find online is billed one of two ways: a guest post or paid placement on a site that accepts adult content, or a monthly retainer for a managed campaign. None of the four vendor pages below prices the third option, forum threads, profiles, Web 2.0 submits and blog comments sold as bulk links. Forum-link vendors do exist; these four pages just don’t price that tier. That third one is what I sell.
This post puts all of it on one page. The first half is other people’s numbers, quoted from their own pages as I found them on 25 September 2026. The second half is mine, so read it with that in mind.
What the published prices say
| Source | What is priced | Published price | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| PRWiz, checked 25 September 2026 | Adult inventory across its publisher marketplace | +47% to +64% over the same site’s standard rate | No absolute price is given; the premium is stated as a percentage on top of each publisher’s normal rate |
| PressWhizz, checked 25 September 2026 | Marketplace-wide link pricing across roughly 22,700 completed placements (not adult-specific) | Average $161 a link, median $112; casino and gambling, its priciest tracked niche, averages $252 | These are marketplace averages, not an adult price. PressWhizz’s adult service page lists no dollar figure of its own, only “3,500+” adult-friendly publishers in its inventory |
| Web20Ranker, checked 25 September 2026 | “Vice Links for Taboo Sites” package, tiered by volume | $369 for 5 links ($73.80/link); $599 for 10 links or $898.50 for 15 links (both $59.90/link); $999+ for 20 or more links ($49.95/link) | Same $59.90 per-link price at 10 and 15 links; a 5-link-per-niche minimum applies |
| LinkBuilder.com, checked 25 September 2026 | Adult content link building, monthly retainer | $1,000 a month, or $3,000 a month ($833 and $2,500 respectively if paid annually) | Consulting is included; media placement fees for individual articles are billed separately |
Three things stand out.
1. PressWhizz doesn’t publish an adult price at all. Its adult page lists inventory, “3,500+” adult-friendly publishers, but no dollar figure. The only PressWhizz number available is its site-wide pricing report: average $161 a link, median $112, and $252 average for casino and gambling, the priciest niche it tracks. None of that is an adult price; it’s the closest public benchmark for what a restricted, premium niche costs across its whole marketplace.
2. Web20Ranker’s price drops with volume, on one page. $73.80 a link at its 5-link minimum, $59.90 a link at 10 to 15 links, $49.95 a link at 20 or more, a 32% drop from the smallest tier to the largest on the same product page.
3. None of these four pages prices the volume end. As with casino, none of the pages here quotes forum threads, profile links or Web 2.0 submits for adult. Forum-link vendors exist; they’re just not among the pages I found pricing adult content. The product these vendors sell, a placement on a site that accepts adult content, and the product I sell are not the same thing.
In short: published adult prices are marketplace averages, percentage markups and retainers on guest-post style placements. None of the four cited pages prices the cheap, high-volume end.
The volume end, for comparison
My list prices as of September 2026: forum thread $3, Web 2.0 $3, blog comment $2, profile link $2, with volume discounts up to 20% at 500 links, and a standing order of 800 links a month at $2.10, which is $1,680. The price list has the calculator.
Adult costs the same as any other order on these tiers. There is no adult surcharge on the volume side. The properties these links sit on don’t screen for the vertical at all, which is the whole reason they’re cheap.
That doesn’t mean adult goes everywhere. Hand-moderated forums are the one place I won’t put an adult link at any price: a moderated board pulls it on sight and takes the account down with it, so that tier is white-hat only, full stop. Everything above is volume inventory, where the vertical makes no difference to whether the link survives. See what moderated placements are for the tier this excludes.
What the same money buys
Take a budget of $1,680, the price of one month of the 800-link standing order:
| Spend | Buys |
|---|---|
| Web20Ranker Vice Links, 5-link tier at $73.80/link | about 22 links |
| Web20Ranker Vice Links, 10-to-15-link tier at $59.90/link | about 28 links |
| Web20Ranker Vice Links, 20-plus tier at $49.95/link | about 33 links |
| LinkBuilder.com’s $1,000/month adult retainer | one month, with $680 left over |
| Volume links at $2.10 | 800 |
These aren’t interchangeable. A guest post on a publisher that genuinely accepts adult content can carry topical relevance a forum thread never will. Eight hundred forum, profile, Web 2.0 and blog-comment links can’t replace that, but 22 guest-post links at Web20Ranker’s smallest tier can’t build a profile either.
How I would think about a split
This is my view, not a measurement. Spend on volume to build the base: the mass of ordinary links, the referral footprint, a profile that looks accumulated rather than bought. Add a paid placement or two once there’s something for it to sit next to. The adult page has the mix I’d start from.
Two rules whichever end you buy:
- Ask which tier or niche the quoted price actually reflects. A vendor who quotes a range, like Web20Ranker’s $73.80 down to $49.95, without saying which end you’re getting is asking you to find out at the invoice.
- Verify the delivery. The 15-minute check works on any vendor’s report, and the free link checker does the mechanical half of it. A sample report shows what that looks like on a real order.
What to keep in mind about these numbers
They are mostly listed prices, undated and from sellers, except the PressWhizz figures, which come from its own report on completed placements rather than a list price, though they remain marketplace averages across all niches, not an adult price on their own. PRWiz states its adult premium only as a percentage, 47% to 64%, with no absolute figure given, so I’ve left it as a percentage rather than guessing a base price. A marketplace listing shows what publishers ask, not what buyers paid, except where noted otherwise above.
I will re-check this table roughly every quarter and bump the date at the top of the page, the same way as the casino link price survey.
Frequently asked
How much does adult link building cost?
By the vendor prices I found, guest posts and paid placements on Web20Ranker's taboo-site package run $73.80 a link at the 5-link minimum, $59.90 a link at 10 to 15 links, and $49.95 a link at 20 or more. PressWhizz doesn't publish an adult-specific price; its own pricing report puts the marketplace-wide average at $161 a link, the median at $112, and casino and gambling, its priciest tracked niche, at $252, all averages across its whole marketplace, not adult prices. Managed retainers are quoted at $1,000 to $3,000 a month (LinkBuilder.com). Volume links from forums, profiles, Web 2.0 properties and blog comments cost $2 to $3 each, with no adult surcharge.
Why doesn't adult cost more on your volume tiers?
Because the properties I use for forum threads, profiles, Web 2.0 submits and blog comments don't screen for the vertical at all. There's no reviewer to charge a risk premium to, so there's no premium. The vendors above charge more because their inventory is publishers who do screen, and do carry that risk.
Can I get an adult link on a moderated forum through you?
No, at any price. A hand-moderated board removes an adult link fast and burns the account with it, so that tier stays white-hat only. Everything else on my price list is volume inventory, where the vertical makes no difference to whether the link survives.
Does buying more links from Web20Ranker lower the price?
Yes, on its own tiers: $73.80 a link at the 5-link minimum, $59.90 a link at 10 to 15 links, $49.95 a link at 20 or more, roughly a 32% drop from the smallest tier to the largest on that one page. Compare that with my volume links at $2 to $3 each, with no minimum tied to niche and no adult premium.
Should I combine a paid placement with volume links for an adult site?
That's my view, not a measurement. Build the base with volume first, since it's the cheapest way to get a profile that looks accumulated rather than bought, then add a placement or two once there's a base for it to sit next to. Going straight for one expensive placement and skipping the base leaves the rest of the profile looking thin.
